Manas have now introduced a new type of primary flow sensor & smart flow transmitter in their electromagnetic flow- meter series. This sensor works on the Faraday's law of electromagnetic induction. The meter is true volume measuring meter. The measurement is independent of Viscosity, Density, Dissolved/Un-dissolved solids, pressure or temperature of the flowing liquid as long as it maintains certain minimum conductivity. Various types of Liner & Electrode materials are available as per application requirements. The new sensors are more compact in size & more sensitive. Earth ring or earth electrode, both options are available. Empty tube detection is also provided.

Principle Of Operation
The SROAT 1002 series electromagnetic flow meters work on Faraday's law of electromagnetic induction. It, in brief, states; when a conductor moves within a magnetic field, voltage is induced in it which is proportional to the velocity of conductor.
In this case the conductor is flowing media.
The equation is as below :
E = B.V.D
Where
E = Induced voltage (proportional to velocity)
B = Magneticflux density
V = Mean velocity of the media
D = Diameter of flow-sensor (distance between the sensing electrodes)
For a given size of flow tube & compatible amplifier the flux density 'B' is constant, the distance between the electrodes is constant. Hence, the induced voltage is proportional to the flowing media. Thus the meter can be calibrated in terms of volumetric flow rate by knowing the cross-sectional area of the tube.
Principal Advantages
- Robust, rugged, welded steel/stainless steel construction withstanding to IP68.
- Very much suitable for submerged or buried application.
- No Pressure Drop across the sensor, being full bore construction.
- Measurement independent of un-dissolved solids.
- Long lasting Ebonite rubber lining gives long life of sensor,

Manas have now introduced a new type of Battery Operated Electromagnetic Flow meter series. This sensor works on Faraday’s law of electromagnetic induction. The new type of flow transmitter is SS1020. It is available with integral or remote version of transmitter.
Battery Operated Electromagnetic Flow meter is specifically designed where Electric supply is not available& accurate flow measurement is essential.

Jal-Oagh 100, 300 Series Of EMF:
- These flow meters are dedicated for waste water management system, sewage & effluent water measurement. These flow meters are mainly categorized into two i.e. Threaded & Wafer type. Threaded is available from DN 25 to DN 65 i.e. Jal-Oagh 100 Series while Wafer is available from DN 50 to DN 200 i.e. Jal-oagh 300 Series.

- The Manas make Insertion Type Electromagnetic flow meter, called SR1000i is an ideal solution for water flow measurement in large diameter pipes.
- Fairly good accuracy of measurement(typically ± 1% of flow rate) can be achieved with little care in installation of probe and transmitter. The electrical conductivity of liquid under measurement can be as low as 20 microsiemens / cm. Being insertion type, there is virtually no pressure loss.
- Most economical as compared to its counterpart in full bore measurement or ultrasonic measurement.
